This self-drive tour is designed for travellers who want to explore southern Morocco without following the pace of a group. After the first two nights in Agadir, you collect your vehicle and set out on a broad loop linking the Atlantic, earthen architecture, pre-Saharan valleys and the mineral landscapes of the Anti-Atlas.
The route first leads towards Taroudant, Aït Ben Haddou and Ouarzazate. Then come the Skoura palm grove, the landscapes of the Dadès Valley and the dramatic walls of Todra Gorge. Further south, Zagora and the Drâa Valley announce the desert before a quieter stop in Tata.
The return to the Atlantic crosses one of the journey’s most distinctive landscapes: Tafraout, the Ameln Valley and its rose-granite formations. Agadir then becomes a seaside pause again, allowing the trip to end at a gentler pace.
What defines this itinerary is the balance between freedom behind the wheel and organised support: a reserved rental car, pre-arranged accommodation, half board and EMIT Services assistance throughout the stay.
